Your passport (issued within the last 15 years--after this day in 2009 for 2024).
COMPLETED Passport Application Form DS-82 (fill it out online), or you can download and fill out the form by hand or drop by the library to pick up a form. Black ink required.
One passport photo or we can take your photo here at the library ($15.00)
CHECK or MONEY ORDER Made payable to the U.S. Department of State
Note: Payment to the Department of State MUST be check or money order. If payment is being made by someone other than the applicant, that person must be present and provide photo ID. All checks to the Department of State should state the applicant's name and date of birth in the subject line.Passport Book Fee $130.00 (valid for 10 years)
Passport Card Fee $30.00 (valid for 10 years) (Cards are limited to land or sea border crossing to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and part of the Caribbean. They are NOT valid for international air travel.)
Under-age-16 passport applications are always processed as new.
Current processing time is 6 to 8 weeks. Expedited processing, currently 2 to 3 weeks, is available with an additional fee of $60.00, plus overnight delivery fees.
You may be required to provide or complete additional forms. Please confirm and complete any required forms before your appointment.
You will take your completed materials to the U.S. Post Office after your appointment. The cost of mailing your application is based on priority mail prices. We will provide you with an addressed priority mail envelope to make the process easier for you.
