Donation Opportunities
Funding Needed
Hamlin Community Library receives approximately half of its funding from government sources. The remainder of our income comes from processing U.S. Passport applications, hosting fundraising events, providing library services (copying, faxing, laminating, etc.), and generous donations from community members like you.
Gifts of any size will help us reach our goals. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, and your donation may be tax-deductible.
Your gifts totaling $250+ will include an acknowledgment plaque with your name on it placed on the library walls with the fruits of your donation.
No goods or services were received in return for this gift. Our federal tax ID is available upon receipt of your donation.
These books are old, discolored, stained, and in poor condition. We cannot put these items on our shelves, and we cannot sell them. The books also include condensed items, which are abbreviated stories. We cannot accept items like these.
Physical Materials Donation Guidelines
We will post specific dates when we accept donations of physical materials. Please check our Events page for dates.
If you wouldn't give the item as a gift, or buy it, we can't accept it.
If items have mold, mildew, cobwebs, water damage, or animal droppings, please do NOT try to donate them. Many items donated to the library end up in the trash. If an item is damaged or otherwise in poor condition, please dispose of it properly.
Do not leave book donations outside the Library including in the book drop. Items left outside are considered litter and are often further damaged by wildlife and weather conditions.
We cannot use Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, or school books.
