What's happening - end of August

Updated: Apr 20

The summer reading program finished strong with 60 participants, and with back-to-school being not-so-normal, we've decided that we will have a fall reading program to augment the children's school activities. Stay tuned for updates here and on Facebook!

We also decided to continue our used book sales on a monthly basis. They will be scheduled for the third Saturday of each month from 9 am to 1 pm. The hours correspond with the Library's Saturday hours, which were updated during August. We want to make sure we are available to meet your needs. Stay tuned for updates to our hours, as well. We are trying to make sure that the hours we are opened are convenient for all of our patrons.

Another exciting development is a wonderful gift we received from twins Cathy and Susie. They noticed that our passport signs were looking faded, so Cathy offered to get new signs for the library! We appreciate the generosity. Susie dropped off the signs this week, and we hung them up right away. I think you'll agree that they look fantastic!

Finally, we want to acknowledge that the Friends group has sent out their annual membership drive notice. Please know that when you send funds to the Friends, the moneys are held by them until there is a project they choose to support. As an independent organization, they use the funds they receive as they see fit in support of the library.

As always, the library accepts monetary donations via a number of methods, check, cash, and even with your credit or debit card. Direct donations help us develop projects as well as continue to operate with your needs as a top priority. Keep us in mind as we are beginning to consider the costs of installing an elevator so we can expand our use of the beautiful building we have.

Thank you for your support through all of the years, and we hope to see you in the library soon!
